Nothing much new to report here. Quit smoking. Nine weeks smoke-free, Getting a new grandson in February. I wanna move back home. Not really, but I do miss being around the boys and grandbabies.

I thought about going to the KISS meeting today, but I'm not setting foot in Speedway today, plus I didn't think the topic was worth the hassle, for me, at least.
I do need to shop for groceries later. I hate that chore.

I spent the morning shopping and the afternoon cleaning house. Tonight I'm curling up and beginning Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series. First up, "Post-mortem."

Yeah yeah yeah. I quit smoking again. In honor of being two weeks smoke-free, I have ordered myself an iPhone. Tada!
Not much new with me but thought I'd at least y'all know I am still alive :)
Work, home ownership and family has been occupying my time of late. And I think it's gonna get worse.
Now that my dad is all better and leukemia-free, my mother has begun having an issue. She's been diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and she's having a hard time breathing. She no longer can do any housework or even go get their groceries. I asked her the other day how the garden was doing and she told me she didn't know because she was unable to walk out there. Of course she's been a smoker for over 60 years. She tried to quit but just couldn't do it, even knowing that's probably the only thing to help her at this point. She has an inhaler to use.
Anyway, I've been having this sense of dread lately that our days with her are numbered. She's tiny anyway, but now is looking extremely gaunt. So, I think I'm going to start going down there every weekend. I want to spend as much time with her as I can in addition to helping my dad around the house.
I'll still stay in town for the third weekend of every month for local activities, but while the weather is permittable I feel like I should be down there. And of course if there is something special going on up here, I'll work around it. I have a BBQ to attend here on the 4th and I've not been able to spend too much time with that group of folks for a while, so I'm coming back into town for that. We have off work on the 3rd, so I'll dash down home on the evening of the 2nd and return here the afternoon of the 4th. I may be doing some extra driving in the months ahead but it feels like something I need to be doing.

Afterwards, I attended the NLA-Indy party. It's always a good time and the bright minds never cease to amaze me.
On Sunday I headed over to Depauw Univ. and met up with friends for The Who's Tommy where our pal Veronica was directing the band. It was awesome and neat as hell to see Veronica in another element. She rocked it out, dudes :)
